This dramatic landscape has been painted by the master of this genre Dunaev. It features the picturesque bank of the forest lake and the small boat of a fisherman. Painted in the water-color technique, this work looks realistic and peaceful. The brilliance of water that reflects the sky is created by means of mother-of-peal.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the piece while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. A hinge is fastened to the top of the composition. The box rests on four rounded legs. It is signed and dated (2006) by the artist at the bottom of the composition.
