This marvelous box is a creation of E. Mishina from the village of Fedoskino. It shows the elegant lady and her suitor riding in the park. The scene is painted in the realistic style, with keen attention to detail and a masterful illusion of light and shadow. The faces of the characters are precisely painted; the horses are drawn with attention to correctly portraying their anatomical features. Mother-of-pearl is set into the sky to fill the scene with light and splendor.
The scene is framed with a gold line; two parallel gold lines wrap around the box's sides. Black lacquered exterior of the box is covered with gold blurry spots as additional decoration. The box's interior is traditionally red.
The box is made out of paper-mache. It has a hinge from the left of the scene, and rests on a flat bottom. The box is signed with the artist's name and the year of 2006.
