This is one more alluring creation of Mishin from the village of Fedoskino. It features a little elf-girl who sits dreamily in the garden, surrounded with the golden butterflies.
The scene is painted in various shades of delicate blue oils. Mother-of-pearl that shimmers magically with pink, violet and light green tones is set to the elf-girl's wings to create a very beautiful visual effect. Gold metal leaf shines through each of the butterflies.
Gold line is used to frame the scene, whereas the box's sides are decorated with two parallel gold lines. The box's light blue exterior is covered with large white and gold blurry spots. The box's interior is traditionally red. On the interior bottom Mishin has painted the tiny butterfly hovering over the flower as his own original signature.
The box is made out of high quality paper-mache. The lid is hinged at top, and the box rests on a flat bottom. Signed with the artist's name, the village of Fedoskino, and the year of 2007.
