This elegant Fedoskino box has been created by artist Mishin. It shows the ballet dancer stretching her leg making an exercise for flexibility.
The scene is framed with a nice, brilliant gold wavy pattern. Two parallel gold lines decorate the box's sides. The box's exterior is of delicate light blue color, and adorned with an innumerable number of silver veins. The interior is traditionally red. On the box's interior bottom a small piece of mother-of-pearl is glued. A small shell is attached in the middle of the box's body for ease of opening.
The box is constructed from quality paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino, the title (“The Ballet Dancer”), and the year of 2007.
