This summer landscape with deer pasturing on the sunny meadow has been painted by Natalya Gogina. Gogina was born in 1956 in the town of Ekaterinburg. Now she resides in the town of Zelenograd, Moscow Region. She works at the Fedoskino factory of miniature art, at the Zhostovo factory of miniature painting and teaches at the Fedoskino Art School. She was given the honorary rank of "excellent worker of quality" (1988). Her works are exhibited in the Museum of Fedoskino factory of miniature art and also they are kept in private collections.
A simply elegant skan design wraps around the sides of the box. Skan are individual gold punchouts that are applied to the box during the drying process of the lacquer.
The box is made out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The lid isn't hinged, and the box rests on four feet. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino, and the year of 2005 on the box's exterior bottom.
