Description:

The world of fantasy and reality come to life in this marvelous composition by Tatyana Tipyakova of Fedoskino. A unique blend of tantalizing colors, incredible depth and life-like detail announce this piece as a quality addition to any collection.
The work is called “The House That has a Beautiful View down the Field”. The composition is interestingly designed. In the foreground the artist has painted the opened window while the background is filled with the beautiful summer landscape that can be seen through it. The scarlet shafts of sunrise glow brightly on the morning sky, and there is a thick mist over the fresh field. The fluttering curtains are drawn in very pale oils to create the effect that they are transparent. Gold paint is used to highlight foliage of some trees and bushes, to paint flowers on the curtains, to strengthen the colors of the sunrise and to paint the sunrise's reflection on the windowsill. By painting the composition with multiple layers the artist creates massive degrees of texture and perspective. A priceless setting.
The elegantly shaped box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The scene is framed with a gold line; the box's sides are decorated with two parallel gold lines. A hinge is fastened to the top of the scene, and the box rests on legs. The work is signed with the artist's name, the title, Fedoskino and the year of 2008.
