This portrait of a woman with white doves was painted by Tatyana Gomzina, who graduated from the Fedoskino Art School in 1970. Her teachers were P.S. Davydov, A.S. Sokolov, S.V. Monashov and Yu.P. Khomutinnikov. Gomzina has received several awards for painting of lacquered miniature, and was awarded with diplomas.
The portrait is framed with a gold line; two parallel gold lines decorate the box's sides.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the left of the portrait, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name.
