Khasanova Marina from the village of Fedoskino is the author of this stunning box. On the box lid she has painted the allegory of Night. The Queen of Night hugs the whole world: countries and continents, seas and oceans, mountains and valleys, forests and fields, big cities and small villages. Her head is covered with the magic woven stars veil, and the brilliant crescent shines in her forehead. To strengthen the magic moment the artist paints the stars and the crescent in bright gold and aluminum paint. On the box's exterior bottom the artist has painted one more small composition that shows the crescent and the stars in the sky.
The bottom edges of the lid are outlined with gold; two parallel gold lines decorate the box's sides.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the left of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino and the year of 2009.
