This sentimental portrait of a little girl has been painted by the talented Fedoskino painter, Lyubov Krasnoslobotseva. The composition is showing us a young girl who just took the mask from her face. It might be her first New Years Ball and there is so much astonishment in these eyes...
The portrait is framed with a gold line; two parallel gold lines decorate the box's sides.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the left of the portrait, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, the year of 2009 and the village of Fedoskino.
