This marvelous marine scene is a creation of Alexey Valyalin. Here he has drawn a quite harbor with two ships anchored not far from the shore. Various shades of blue oils are used to paint the sea and the sky while orange and yellow tones help to produce a sparkle of the sunset. The scene is quite calm and peaceful!
The scene is framed with a gold line, while the boxes sides are decorated with two parallel gold lines. The box is made out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The lid is hinged at the top of the composition. The work is signed with the name of the artist and Fedoskino.
