This peaceful landscape was pained by talented artist Simonov from the village of Fedoskino. It features locality typical for Russian countryside. Different shades of green and yellow colors suitable for reproduction of a summer setting have been used here. Mother-of-pearl is inlaid into two parts of the composition. One of them is inlaid into the portion of the river, while another one is inlaid in the portion of the sky. With the help of mother-of-pearl the artist has achieved the beautiful effect of the sky's and the river's brilliance.
The exterior of the box is painted black. The scene is framed with a gold line, and the sides are decorated with two parallel gold lines as well. The box's interior is covered with red lacquer.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the top of the composition, and the box rests on wavy legs. The box is signed with the artist's name and year of 2011.
