This peaceful summer landscape has been painted by Rogatov Vladimir. The river flows along the grassy banks. The trees and bushes covered with green leaves look so beautiful! The artist masterfully used perspective and we can see some trees on the background of the composition and birds in the skies.
To reproduce realistically a chosen season the artist has used gray and green oils.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid has no hinge, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino and the year of 74 (1974). Good shape for 1974 year.
