Talented Fedoskino artist Vladimir Golenev is a creator of this charming box. It features the beauty of Russian village among the forest in winter.
The scene is bright and radiant as besides of various shades of gray oils the artist has used here metal paint and a piece of mother-of-pearl.A piece of mother-of-pearl is set into the upper part of the scene, so the sky is shining through the trees and makes the box look more appealing!
The box exterior's sides imitates the coloring of gray marble (tiny dark veins are scattered against the light gray background). The interior is traditionally covered with red lacquer.
The box is constructed of paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the left of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed in with the artist's name, Fedoskino, and the year of 2016.
