This peaceful early autumn landscape has been painted by a talented Fedoskino artist, Sedov Dmitriy. The winding river flows along the grass covered banks. The trees and bushes covered with golden leaves looks so beautiful! To reproduce realistically a chosen season the artist has used yellow-brown and green oils. The scene is framed with the gold dots ornamentation.
In the upper left corner we can see several white-stoned Cathedrals, painted over a large piece of mother-of-pearl.Details are breathtaking!
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work.
The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name and Fedoskino.
