This unusual and very detailed box is an original creation of Taisiya Danchenko!
The work is called "Circus", and shows a young girl with a cap on her head , training a white kitten. She wears masquerade cloth.
Some elements on the box are three-dimensional. We can see the small glass half-sphears glued on the surface of the box, they are of different colours and shines brightly!
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Brown lacquer mixed with gold powder is used to paint the exterior of the piece while red lacquer completes its interior.
The lid is hinged from the left of the scene, and the box rests flat. The work is signed with the artist's name and the title on the box's reverse side.
