Galina Davydova from the village of Fedoskino has created a series of boxes that show butterflies hovering over flowers. This box is continue this series.
The box's lid, and its exterior bottom show bright butterflies hovering over yellow Narcissus. The same butterflies and Narcissus can be found decorating the box's interior. Gold metal leaf shines brilliantly through the wings of each butterfly.
Both the box's exterior and interior are covered with the light brown lacquer, the whole surface of this area is decorated with white dust blurry spots.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. A hinge is fastened to the left of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is not signed .
