This magnificent box was painted by a talented Fedoskino artist Osipova Larisa.
Lewis Carroll's classic tale "Alice in Wonderland" has been chosen as a theme for this work.
We can see almost all major characters! Alice,Hare, Cheshire's Cat and etc. They all are like coming from the top of Hat. Here we can see Alice who visits the Hat's house! Alice enchanted by the fantastic world of Wonderland. The right side shows the Caterpillar who smokes the hookah.
The work is painted in dark green tones. It is framed with a gold line. Two other parallel gold lines are wraps around the sids of the box.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the piece while red lacquer completes the interior of the box. The lid is hinged, and the box rests flat. The work is signed with the artist's name, date (2018) and Fedoskino.
