This large box contains eight landscape images!
It was painted by talented artist Sergey Parmenov from the village of Fedoskino.The painting is started on a lid and then continued to sides of this unique shaped box. The compositions shows landscape scenes from different Seasons!
Each image is painted in colors suitable for the selected time of year. All four scenes on the lid are having piece of mother-of-pearl. These pieces are used to create the sun reflection in the skies or ice reflection of the river.
Each of eight scenes is framed with a gold line.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the longer side in two points, and the box rests on platform with legs. The work is signed with the artist's name.
