This beautiful Fedoskino box was painted by a talented artist,Yegorova Olga. On this box the artist has painted a loving couple riding the swing. Light blue, green and brown tones of oil paints are predominate here. The artist has put a great concentration of detail into the costumes of the characters. Gold and aluminum paint gives the entire scene a fantastic glow.
There several pieces of mother of pearl are inlayed under the dress of a girl and the cloth of a lad.
The box is constucted out of paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The sides of the box are richly decorated with beautiful flower gold pattern.
The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino and the year of 2022.
