This beautiful nestling doll was painted by Kirmasov from the village of Khotkovo. It is called "Rest" and includes 5 dolls showing 5 figures of peasants that take a rest. The biggest doll depicts a man, who sits on the bank of the river and fishes; the second one shows a woman picking mushrooms and berries; the third one depicts a man who plays balalaika (a musical instrument); the other one shows a woman who drinks tea; and the last and the smallest doll depicts a sleeping man. All dolls are painted in brown tones with the minor additions of greens, reds and blues. Besides the figures of peasants the dolls also include the paintings of different plants, animal and insects.
