This attractive playing cards holder is a creation of Nikolay Demyanenkov. Demyanenkov has a unique style that he uses for his box. Very often his boxes are unique in shape like this originally designed playing cards holder. The exterior of the piece imitates a stone color (gold blurry spots and veins are scattered against the brown background). For additional decoration colored spangles are dusted against the entire surface of the box's exterior. The interior is traditionally covered with red lacquer. The front side of the piece depicts two peasants playing cards while the rear side shows several playing cards that are crafted three-dimensionally. The lid is hinged. Inside the box you'll find a pack of playing cards. The work is signed by the artist.
