This piece of genuine Russian artistry was created by experienced Fedoskino artist Vladimir Rogatov. It shows the Church of Vladimir Godmother. The beauty and grandeur of Russian holy architecture has been masterfully captured here. The scene is framed with two parallel gold lines while the box's sides are adorned with Rogatov's favorite tartan patterns painted in gold and white oil paints. The box is elegantly shaped.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino and the title.
