This gorgeous piece of authentic Russian miniture was created by Fedoskino artist, Alexander Simonov. He has mastered the ability to create breath-taking landscapes that appeal to each and every aspect of our senses. Here we can see forest landscape with a deer with horns.
The scene is painted in different shades of green and gray oils. There is infinite texture in the landscape. The structure of the trees is highly elaborate. A piece of mother-of-pearl in-layed in the skies.
The painting is framed with a golden line, as well as the sides are decorated with two parallel gold lines.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the piece while red lacquer completes the interior of the box. A hinge is fastened to the top of the composition, and the box is rests flat. The work is signed with the artist name.
