Talented artist and ex-teacher of Fedoskino Art school Golovchonkov Oleg has created this attractive box. It features a girl with a kitten and a mother Cat.
Exceptional technique and masterful skill are needed to create this work. It is as entrancing as it is traditional.
The scene is framed with a thin gold line. Two parallel gold lines wraps around the box's sides.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the left of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's initials G.O.
