Talented Fedoskino artist Elena Larisheva is responsible for the creation of this composition. It features Spring walking through the forest.
Here the artist has depicted the Lady Spring with a wreath of daisies that represents the allegory of spring on her head.
The scene is painted yellow, green and red and white oils suitable for reproduction of the snow covered winter forest. Metal foil glued on the surface of the box as underlayer of the painting shines through Spring's clothes.
The scene is framed with a band which filled with a mixture of yellow and silver colour.
Silver-bluish blurry spots are scattered on the dark blue lacquered exterior of the box imitating the coloring of blue marble. The box's interior is traditionally red.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. The box has a hinge from the left of the scene, and rests on a flat bottom. It is signed with the artist's name, the year of 07 (2007), title-Spring and the village of Fedoskino.
