Talented Fedoskino artist Tatiana Levko is painted this peaceful winter scene!
It features peasant lad and his younger brother going to sledge down the snowy hill and stayed at the figure of a snowman. Children are dressed up in winter fur coats. Their faces has a rose shade after being for a while at the winter open air. Snowman has a bucket on his head as a hat and a red carrot as a nose. The surrounding winter landscape is painted in white, grey and light blue tones. We can see the village houses with a snow-covered roofs on the background on the composition.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the left of the scene and the box rests flat.
The work is signed with the artist's name, village of Fedoskino and the year of 10 (2010).
