This very bright box with a winter landscape was painted in Fedoskino. The author masterfully used a mixture of bronze paint and lacquer for painting, the tops of trees and the surface of the river are painted with gold paint. The author perfectly displayed the play of shadows from trees. On the right we see two figures of skiers at the edge of the forest.
The sides of the box are decorated with two parallel lines.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged, and the box rests flat. The work is NOT signed.
