This originally shaped box with several compartments was painted by Parmeonov Sergey. The set includes seven compartments that rest on the round shaped tray. Six of the seven lids are openning up as they are hinged while the central lid can be easily moved away from the tray. The set looks like a daisy and each of its petals is a compartment!
Here the artist has masterfully reflected beauty of Russian countryside in Summer. Haystacks on the banks of the river. Green grass and trees. Sunset and sunrise. Several landscape scenes. Sergey has masterfully creates a dramatic interplay of light and shadow within the scene.
The scene is framed with a gold line, while the box's sides are decorated with two parallel gold lines.
The box is constructed from paper-mache and pressed paper. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the work while red lacquer completes its interior. The lids are hinged except the central one, and the box rests on the three legs.
The work is signed with the artist's name.
