The well-known Fedoskino artist, Evgeniy Dokuchaev, has been painted of this peaceful composition. In his works Dokuchaev tries to paint correctly and realistically individual features of his characters, and also to express their psychology and mood. Here the artist has painted the little girl walking with her dog in the park.The dog carries an umbrella in its mouth.
The scene is framed with a gold line; two parallel gold lines can be also found wrapping around the box's sides.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. A hinge is fastened to the top of the scene, and the box rests on the four legs.
The work is signed with the artist's name.
