This portrait of a girl with a basket of grapes is a wonderful creation of Mishin. The palette contains bright, rich oil paints. Mother-of-pearl shines through the girl's kerchief. Fine brushwork is used by the master along with gentle execution to develop the most realistic of features upon the girl's complexion.
The scene is framed with a gold line. The black lacquered exterior of the box is covered with gold blurry spots to make the box look appealing. The interior is traditionally red. The Fedoskino "troika" insignia can be found on the interior of the lid.
The box is made out of paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the left of the scene and the box sits flat. The work is signed with the artist's name and the village of Fedoskino.
