This gorgeous box painted by Sergey Parmeonov of Fedoskino depicts the clarity and beauty of a Russian Countryside. The scene depicts a river and the surrounding landscape filled with trees and grass fields.
The landscape is lyrical and romantic. The trees are softly green, while the hills and fields are covered field flowers that create a harmonious image. The scene is painted mostly in green and light blue tones, which in the best way possible can help to reproduce the atmosphere of the summer day. The palette is soft and cool, and you can almost feel the humidity of air. The artist does a nice job creating the reflection of the bank on the river. Mother-of-pearl creates the depth of the sky at the top of the composition.
