This peaceful landscape is a creation of the talented Fedoskino artist Dmitriy Tipyakov. It is called "Small Willow", and shows a panorama of a river somewhere in Russian countryside throught the willow tree, located on it's bank.
In this work the artist has managed to express his admiration for a splendor of Russian nature.
The colors taken from the palette are very natural and realistic, which enhances the quality of the landscape in the way it was rendered.
The scene is framed with a gold line, whiles the box's sides are adorned with two parallel gold lines.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to complete the exterior of the piece while red lacquer completes the interior of the box. The lid is hinged from the top and the box rests flat. The work is signed, titled and dated (2011) by the artist.
