Svetlana Chirkova is an established Fedoskino artist who is responsible for this beautiful lacquer box.
Chirkova specializes in portrait genre, and has already created a series of astonishing female portraits. She has a recognizable painting style, and tries to produce the works of her own designs.
The piece is called "A Russian Girl", and shows a typical for an artist image of a Russian Girl sit in between Russian field flowers.
The portrait is painted against the shining silver and light blue background showing the skies. The box's sides are black.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Red lacquer covers the interior of the work. A hinge has been fastened to the left of the scene, and the box rests on the flat bottom. Chirkova has written her name, the title, and Fedoskino on the box's exterior bottom.
