Description: This box was painted by a well-known Fedoskino artist Liliana Slaeva. Liliana used to work at the Fedoskino Factory under the guidance of the famous artist and teacher Gennady Ivanovich Larishev, in one of his last experimental group of artists!

The theme of the Russian Ballet is very popular among Fedoskino artists, and this work painted by Slaeva continues this series. The background of the box is painted in gray and blue tones and has roses; the costume of the girl-dancer is snow-white. The work is signed with the name of a ballet- Aurora.
The quality of the painting is outstanding, details of the costume are just amazing! The painting is framed with a gold dots ornament with four roses, same ornament is painted on the edge of the lid.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Blue-cream lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. A hinge is fastened to the left of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom.
The box is signed with the name of the artist, Fedoskino and the name of the work- Aurora.
