Dmitry Rogatov from the village of Fedoskino created this interesting work. This adorable box that shows a scene from Lewis Carroll's popular tale Alice in Wonderland.
Here we can see recognizable characters - Alice and the March Hare. The scene is painted in bright oil paints, and filled with a lot of brilliantly drawn details. Each character is easily recognizable, and has his own individual look.
The painting is contunuing on the sides of the box and we can see the Cheshire's Cat and Worm smoking the hookah.
Gold line frames the scene, and another gold line decorates the box's sides. The box's bottom is flat and covered with black lacquer; the box's interior is covered with red lacquer. The lid is hinged from the top of the lid.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. It is signed with the artist's name, Fedoskino and the year of 2018.
