This box was painted by a talented artist Denis Belovodov. It shows a lady openning the cage and setting a bird free. The golden cage in her hands is empty. On the background we can see a couple, they are looking at something or possibly reading something. A small dog is jumping and playing with a butterfly or a flying leaf near by.
The subject reminds some of the works of famous Fedoskino artist Pavel Anokhin, where the viewer is thinking about subject`of the painting. Looking at this painting you may think, that the lady not setting the bird free, but setting free her undivided love...
Green tones predominate here as the action takes place in the summer garden. Brilliant gold paint is used to paint the cage.The composition is framed with a gold line. Thick gold line can be found wrapping around the box's sides.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. A mixture of creamy brown colour with black viens , that imitates marble, is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The lid is hinged from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a flat bottom. The work is signed with the artist's name and the year of 2016.
