Description:

Lubov Pashinina from the village of Fedoskino is the author this beautiful portrait of a noble woman wearing the elegant dress decorated with flowers. Pashinina is an expert in creating female portraits and richly decorated boxes. It's easy to see why, while looking at this exquisite work.
The box's lid glows radiantly been inlaid with pieces of mother-of-pearl of different shape and color. Two large pieces of mother-of-pearl are inlaid into the portrait and can be found shining through the woman's dress and through the background behind the woman's head. The portrait is framed with the radiant pattern composed of small pieces of mother-of-pearl that spark with a variety of undertones ranging from bright green to deep violet. Intricate and very beautiful gold metal engraving decorates the box's sides; pieces of mother-of-pearl shine through this engraving been inlaid into the box's sides. The interior edges of the box's base are also inlaid with shining pieces of mother-of-pearl playing with different colors. The interior of the box's base is covered with dark green velvety material while the interior of the box's lid and the box's exterior are covered with dark green lacquer mixed with silver powder. The box is constructed from paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the left of the portrait and the box rests on four small rounded gold metal legs. The work is signed with the artist's name, the village of Fedoskino and the year of 2012.
