Description: Margarita Belova is the exceptional talent behind this work of art. Here she depicts the young lady in warm fur coat looking with admiration at the three of red-breasted bullfinches. Light blue tones of oils suitable for depiction of a winter scene predominate here. Gold paint is used to detail the lady's costume, and shine through the bullfinches breasts.
The scene is framed with a luxuriant golden scan pattern composed of metal shapes glued to the box manually.
The edges of the lid are framed with a gold line.
The box's exterior imitates the stone of blue malachite (dark blue blurry spots and veins are scattered against the black lacquered background).
On the box's sides Belova has painted a wide band of brighter color, wramed from the top and the botton with gold lines.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Red lacquer is used to paint the interior of the piece. A hinge is fastened from the top of the scene, and the box rests on a wavy platform. The work is signed with the artist's name, the title-the Bullfinches, and the village of Fedoskino.
The prefix author in front of her name indicates that this is her original creation.
