Description:

The famous Fedoskino artist Vladimir Serdotetskov created this charming in shape box. Vladimir is an expert in painting landscapes, and this beautiful winter scene proves this fact.
Here the artist reproduced a thrilling moment of nature when winter has come and snow covers the ground. Despite the fact that the moon has already risen and is visible in the sky, life in the village continues. On the left, almost in the middle of the composition, we see a couple of people returning from church. In the foreground, a woman carrying two buckets of water from a well crosses a bridge over a river. In front of her, showing the way home, a dog runs. The gold flickering in the windows of houses on both sides of the river indicates that the lights have already been turned on there. The roofs of the houses are covered with a fairly large layer of snow. Quiet in the winter in the village!
Blue, gray and white tones suitable for depiction of a winter scene dominate here.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The sides of the box are decoration with the mixion of the colours, which imitates the colour of blue and gray marble. There are two parallel lines of gold that decorates the sides of the box.
The box has a hinge from the top of the composition and rests on a flat bottom. The box is signed with the artist's name, the village of Fedoskino and 07(which is 2007).
