Lidia Davydova from the village of Fedoskino has created a series of boxes that show butterflies and other insects hovering over flower beds. This box is continuing this series!
The box's lid, and its exterior bottom, and EVEN interior of the box shows bright butterflies hovering over Narcissus Flowers.The sides of the box has paintings of different plants. Gold metal leaf shines brilliantly through the wings of each butterfly!
Both the box's exterior and interior are covered with the light brown(chocolate) colour, the whole surface of this area is decorated with white dust blurry spots.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. A hinge is fastened to the top of the scene, and the box rests on the four legs. The work is signed with the artist name, Fedoskino and 2012.
