Description:

This gorgeous box was painted by a talented artist Tsvetkov from the village of Fedoskino. It depicts a picturesque view of the Moscow Kremlin from bank on the other side of Moscow river.
Painted in red and yellow palette this scene opens up a grandiose panorama before the viewer's eyes. White-stone cathedrals and splendid palaces rise above the embankment of Moscow River. The composition is structurally correct, and the sky's depth is amazing. The overall detail on the scene is simply incredible!
On the front side of the box we can see the emblem of the Olimpic games, which took a place in city of Moscow/USSR in 1980.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The box is hinged at the top of the composition and rests on four round legs.
The box is signed with the artist's name, the village of Fedoskino and the date of 1980.
Stored in the original Fedoskino Factory box, perfect condition for such years. Never used, but the varnish has sagged a bit...
