Description: This traditional Kholui composition was painted by a talented artist Mikhail Putilov.
It show a scene from a well-known Pushkin's fairy-tale, "Tale of Tsar Saltan".
Here the artist has painted a moment when Prince Gvidon met Princess Swan coming out from the Sea. Price Gvidon just save Princess Swan from the evil hawk's attack by hitting him with an arrow from a bow.
"The Tale of Tsar Saltan" is Pushkin's fairy tale of a king and his son who become separated due to the jealous interference of two wicked stepsisters. With the help of the Swan Princess, they are finally reunited after years of separation. And, of course, everyone lives happily ever after!
The box's exterior is covered with black lacquer, while the interior is covered with red lacquer.
The scene is framed with a nice golden dot ornament.The box's sides are decorated with rich gold and silver flower style ornamentation.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. A hinge is fastened to the top of the scene, and the box rests on the four small round legs. The work is signed with the artist's name, the title and village of Kholui.
The box is a product of Kholui Workshops, has a mark on the bottom exterior and certificate. The box was produced aproximately in 2010, all the time was kept in a carton box.
