Talented Kholui Artist , Aleona Guryleova, has painted this composition with a Forest Man depicted from the Russian fairy-tales.
The work is called "A Forester" and according to folk believes, the Forest Man is a Spirit who keeps the forest and can understand the language of animals and protect all alive being from evil.
Here we can see that a Forester sit in the forest under the tree with a busket full of red berries.To the left we can see a hog, an Owl is sit on a tree and capercaillie is sit on another tree behind him.
The painting is framed with a silver ornament. The sides of the box are decorated with silver pattern.
The box's exterior is covered with a black color lacquer and it's interior is traditionally red.
The box is made out of paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the top of the composition, and the box rests on a wavy platform with six legs. Signed with the name of the artist, the title and the village of Kholui.
