Talented artist Valentina Konovalova from the village of Palekh has painted this scene with a winter troika (three horse sleigh) speeding through the Russian countryside. A couple hides from the snowstorm in the sleigh.
Gold paint is used to detail the sledge, the characters' costumes and the horses' harnesses, manes and tails. This work is simply amazing, full of very thin details!
The scene is framed with a golden dots ornament.The box's sides are decorated with a gold floral ornament.
