This gorgeous box is a part from the series of works called "Seasons" by Brovkina Natalie. Here the artist has depicted the beautiful lady that represents the allegory of spring surrounded the birds, blossom flowers and trees and the hot Sun.
Blue, red and green tones dominate here. Gold paint creates brilliance of the veil that covers the lady's head, shines through her hair and highlights the foliage of her dress, trees and flowers.
The scene is framed with an intricate gold ornament with an add of silver colour on a lid of the box, similar flower style ornament decorates the sides.
The box's exterior is black, while the interior is traditionally red.
The box is constructed out of paper-mache. The lid is hinged from the left of the scene, and the box rests on four small round legs. The work is signed with the artist's name, Palekh, and the title-Spring.
