This detailed portrait continues one of the most popular Fedoskino themes and shows a young beautiful girl dressed in traditional Russian costume. She wears the warm blue hat decorated with fur and the green coat adorned with the big fur collar. She also wears dangling earrings and a pearl necklace. The girl's face is elaborately drawn. Her flesh is slightly rosy and her expression is that of one satisfied. Aluminum powder is added to some parts of the costume, creating the beautiful decorative effect and a source of light from within. The background is light grey. The portrait is painted on an oval that is situated a little higher than the other space of lid. The portrait and the sides of the box are decorated with gold patterns. The box is made out of paper-mache. It has a hinge from the left of the composition and rests a flat bottom. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The Fedoskino "troika" insignia can be found on the interior of the lid. The box is signed with the artist's name and village.
