Description: This beautiful piece Russian artistry was created by Fedoskino artist A.N. Vlasov. It portrays the grandeur of the Moscow Kremlin. Red-bricked constructions adorned with golden domes shining in the sun and bright red stars rise above the ground covered with snow. At first sight we can notice the world famous buildings depicted here such as the St. Basil's cathedral, the Savior Gate Clock Tower, The Ivan the Great Bell Tower, the Senate Building, the Mausoleum, the Historical Museum, the Assumption, Annunciation, and Archangel Michael Cathedrals.
The architecture is precisely painted to conform to the proportions and the strict perspectives from this view. Gold is used abundantly to detail and decorate the buildings. The composition shines with gold! Black lacquer intensifies the colors helps to reproduce the atmosphere of a frosty evening.
The scene is decorated with elegant gold patterns.
The plaque is made out of paper-mache from Fedoskino. Black lacquer covers the entire surface that is unpainted. Clear lacquer is also added to the exterior and polished to a reflective shine. Even after 20 years this piece has retained its shine. Two small hooks are found on the back to mount the piece on a wall. The artist has written Fedoskino, 1985, and signed his name at the bottom of the composition.
