This beautiful summer landscape was painted by T. Levitskaya from the village of Fedoskino. It shows the picturesque riverbank, and the small footbridge thrown across the river.
The scene is painted in earth tones; the predominance is given to different shades of green and brown. Gold powder highlights the surface of the river and some of the trees.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the box while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. The sides of the box are decorated with rich gold patterns. The lid is hinged from the top of the composition, and the box rests flat. The Fedoskino "troika" insignia can be found on the interior of the lid. The box is signed with the artist's name, the village of Fedoskino, and the year (1999).
