This is one more creation of the talented landscape painter Dunaev from the village of Fedoskino. The picturesque winter scene is drawn in the realistic style, and looks like a work painted in water-colors. Blue and brown tones dominate here. Mother-of-pearl creates the brilliance of snow.
The scene is framed with a gold line.
The box is constructed from paper-mache. Black lacquer is used to paint the exterior of the piece while red lacquer completes the interior of the work. A hinge is fastened to the top of the composition. The box rests on four rounded legs. It is signed and dated (2005) by the artist at the bottom of the composition.
