This brilliant work has been painted by Kornilin from the village of Fedoskino. It features the tiger starting its hunt. The artist managed to catch grace and beauty of this mighty animal. The color palette has been successfully chosen; and this demonstrates the artist's good sense of color. He has used only two tones - black (for depiction the tiger) and light yellow (for creating the background); the combination of these tones looks very effective. Undoubtedly, admirers of tigers and all large savage felines will like this box.
The scene is framed with a gold line. Gold line can be also found wrapping around the box's sides.
The box is constructed from quality paper-mache. Black lacquer covers the exterior and red lacquer covers the interior of the box. The box has a hinge from the left of the composition and rests on a flat bottom. It is signed, titled ("Hunting Tiger") and dated (2005) by the artist.
